Computer Assisted Instructions Project
Back to Computer Based Education Page
In this course we are required to complete assignment where we will use Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) to learn something new and document our journey through this process. I decided to choose ‘screen casting’ software for this project, as my work is directly related to software development, documentation, training, and instructional design. I think ‘screen casting’ tools will be very useful in my day-to-day work. They will help me to create interactive instructional materials for training and orientation. I hope to learn how to make screen casting instructional videos with voice over now.
After extensive research on the Internet through the search engines I found number of software that fit my need (examples from Webmarketingtoday.com) and I decided to choose CamStudio for my CAI project. The main reason why I chose this software is because it is best rated fully free open sourse software. There are many fine intuitive features in CamStudio, including an option to highlight the cursor path during a recording session, automatically pan, and record with sound; annotate videos with comments, a time stamp, and a territorial watermark.
In this portfolio I will document my journey through this learning experience of using CAI.
